The time has come, and I am officially moving on to new and exciting things on Chicago House FM. I’ve had an excellent run here on WNUR Streetbeat, spanning over three years and 100+ episodes of Rhythm Mechanics. I could get all sad and nostalgic, but I’d rather be excited for the future and doing new and better things. I never imagined I would take it this far in the first place, I continue to be impressed by the supportive community at WNUR so I want to give some shoutouts to people who have been a part of my experiences. This is by no means a comprehensive list, I’ve had a pleasure working with everyone involved at the station.
- DJ Jaims – the man who taught me how to put two tracks together in an organized fashion
- DJ Sangre – the other man who taught me some skills, and my longtime cohort on Monday nights.
- Yann M – great friend and fellow WNUR engineer and exec member
- Deluge – teaching me all about what is and what is not real in the world of hip-hop
- M50 – a true inspiration, the things he knows about electronic music are astounding.
- The Chairman – producer when I was music director, we made a pretty sick team.
- D-Long and The Scrimmage – highly entertaining, highly energetic, highly enthusiastic about hip-hop, all I gotta say
