Rhythm Mechanics 12-20-2010 feat. Nate Manic!
Last week I ran into Nate at the Smartbar Holiday Party and invited him on the show! He braved the snowstorms and came out to throw down some awesome techy and dirty house for us to promote the Smartbar NYE party with Orchard Lounge, Major Taylor, and Kid Color. Nate is the Music Director at Smartbar, and we’ve become good friends during our respective tenures (myself being the Music Director for WNUR Streetbeat). At the end of his set we sat down and did an extended interview, talked about the scene, where it’s headed, and what’s on the rise for Smartbar (and Metro) for 2011. After that I jumped on the decks for another hour and a half or so and wound the night down with some deep and dark beats, ending with a couple classics!
