Hey folks, tonight is the big night. I’ll be hosting a 4 1/2 hour show on WNUR featuring DJ Heather, Karl Almaria, and Acidman. They will be playing live sets in the studio in preparation for their upcoming show this Saturday at Smartbar, and talking about anything else going on. Needless to say, I’m quite excited to hear what they’ll be throwing down and you should be too! It’s amazing how if you stay to one particular style of house music how well it can all flow together with a little effort in the track selection department. Take tonight for example: Aside from the last track (which I played last monday, d’oh) I didn’t actually own any of what was played tonight until an hour before the show. That’s right, the first time I heard the tracks I was playing tonight in their entirety was when I was mixing them live on the air. I thought this set was pretty good given the circumstances and my severe lack of preparation. Grab the mix for an hour and a half of jackin’, jazzy, funky house music.
