Hey all! I’m so sorry I thought I had posted this, and a friendly fan reminded me that I didn’t. Serious party foul.

Mero, Ed Nine, and Jay Square all threw down some sick tunes on WNUR as we promoted SPORK this upcoming Saturday at Smartbar. Sit back, relax, and enjoy. (This set is 90 minutes because of some technical difficulties with broadcast equipment during the first half hour of the show)

Alright, all caught up. I made a brief mention of this at the beginning of the show, but I feel like if you were to clearly try to define what I would consider to be my sound, this would be it. I draw heavily on some of the new-school deep house guys like Jimpster, Milton Jackson, Shur-I-Kan, Fred Everything, Spiritcatcher etc…  so give this a listen, I think this was one of the more coherent and consistent live shows I’ve done in a while. If everyone’s gotta have a unique sound (which is a load of crap if you ask me, I’ve played some wild stuff over the years) I guess I’ll step up and own this one. Cheers!

Happy new year everyone! This set is a week old-ish, was having some server side difficulties that were thankfully resolved, so now you get your podcast back! I played mostly tracks that made me happy or excited, since the Northwestern Wildcats won the Gator Bowl, showing everyone that the SEC is NOT in fact the holy beacon of glory most college football commentators think it to be.
